work, cover girl!
the SA essay
the essay is book stuff
This essay is not an essay at all (how subversive!). Rather, I'm sending this out in case you missed that I got to reveal the cover for Mrs. Nash's Ashes this week! Whether you saw it or not, here it is again, because I love showing it off.

I like to think of my book as bright, fun, and a little bit unexpected, and I'm so grateful to the team at Berkley Romance (especially art director Anthony Ramondo and artist Vikki Chu) for creating a cover that has those exact vibes.
It's been a weird few months for lots of reasons. Getting to this cover was quite an adventure, as these things sometimes are. But the process was made much easier by having such an amazing team behind me, and just look where we ended up! There is a PIGEON and he is now my ENTIRE PERSONALITY.
What's next? Well, this thing will be on Edelweiss and Netgalley for early reviews in the next few months, which is both exciting and terrifying. Luckily I cannot stress about it too much because I am very busy with Book 2 revisions before it's due to my editor, and also Mrs. Nash's Ashes pass pages (which are basically proofs that I'll need to read carefully to check for typos etc.), and also I resigned from my (very) part-time job, effective at the end of the year, so I'm going to be tying up all the loose ends there. Plus, I have a family and stuff and they probably deserve some attention.
So if you see me on social media in the next few weeks, please aim your very best guilt trip directly at me.

Honestly, no one is more surprised than me that I enjoy watching a bunch of people play Dungeons & Dragons, but I'm obsessed with Dimension 20 on Dropout. I enjoy it immensely, although like 70% of it might be my strange attraction to Brennan Lee Mulligan.
