what’s on my mind
I’ll keep this short, because there’s a lot of information I’d like to throw at you. Which I feel weird about. It’s funny, because in theory you are here because you care about my books. And yet I feel strange emailing you about only my books? Make it make sense!
Pub day for Happy Medium is very quickly approaching, and I am honestly so busy with revising book 3 that I don’t really have the energy to feel much more than a very basic excitement. I’m sure that will change once it’s out, but for now I’m glued to my to-do lists and working nights and weekends and also trying to not completely ignore my family’s existence. It’s a lot to balance. My massage therapist literally looked at my back the other day and exclaimed, “Oh no!” Which was both horrifying and validating. I have always been an overachiever, even when it comes to how much tension I carry, I guess!
Yet I simultaneously feel so so lucky to get to do this job. To create goofy lil’ people in my head and manage to transfer them into yours. How cool is that?? I love it! I love you all! And I love Gretchen and Charlie (and Everett) and can’t wait for you to meet them.
Anyway, that’s it. Buckle up, babes! We’re onto business!
book stuff
April 19th (this Friday!) is the deadline to preorder Happy Medium through Curious Iguana. Those come signed/personalized (enter personalization requests in the order notes field at checkout), and will include an exclusive sticker and art print!1
If you aren’t interested in signed/personalized books or miss the Curious Iguana deadline, you can still preorder up until pub day from other retailers! You can find a selection of quick links here.2
The Happy Medium launch event is shaping up to be a real hoot! I’ll be in conversation with the delightful Laura Hankin at C. Burr Artz Library at 7pm on April 29th, and we’ve recently got word that we’ll have a special guest — Carroll the service goat!! Bonnie, the events person at Curious Iguana, has made all of our dreams come true! Q&A and signing (and photo ops with Carroll) to follow Laura’s and my chat. Books will be available to purchase at the event if you didn’t preorder. Registration not required but RSVPs appreciated for planning purposes!
I’m also super excited about a virtual event I’m doing with Gibson’s Bookstore — Oops! All Sarahs, featuring me, Sarah Hogle, and Sarah Grunder Ruiz. It’s three of your favorite and most chaotic romance Sarahs, chatting about whatever the heck we want. It’s going to be so so fun. Registration required for this one, and books are available to purchase from Gibson’s if you’d like to support them as a thanks for hosting!
I have several other awesome events coming up! Check out my website for the latest information.
I’m also thrilled to announce that I will be Ashley Poston’s conversation partner for her DC stop on her tour for her upcoming release, A Novel Love Story! This will be a hybrid event, both in-store and virtual. Click here to register.
